UFO Sighting in Santa Cruz, California! - so say my buddies.
Last night I was out with some of my buddies who had gone camping together the weekend before, and they all three swore they had seen a UFO pass overhead. Where were they camping? Just outside of Santa Cruz, California at the Henry Cowell State Park. As usually, I pretty much just shrugged and said “cool” at word of a UFO sighting—after all the discovery and history channel episodes I’ve seen debunking the most famous sightings , I kind of lost interest in UFOs. But the strange thing about this was that my friends were so passionate and convinced that they had seen one—even “swearing” it was true.
Like I said, I usually ignore almost everything I hear about UFOs simply because there seems to be so much fiction out there. But after hearing my friends (I still did not believe that what they saw was a UFO—I think it was probably a shooting star or even an airplane), I went online at home and started reading about UFO sightings. You would be shocked at how many of these are reported. Now, in fairness, UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object—that doesn’t necessarily mean an “alien” space craft, it is just something (an object) that is flying and that has not been identified.
As I dug deeper and explored Google and many other websites, I started to read about some really interesting UFO sightings that had taken place in Mexico and that had been unintentionally caught on camera during interviews with a major politician (sorry I can’t remember which one off the top of my head). Again, after all my exposure to hoaxes, I am skeptical, but if you are interested in UFOs , there is certainly no shortage of information on the internet.
