I want to get in better shape. I suppose many of us do, but what are most of us doing about it? I’ve bought the obligatory piece of exercise equipment. In my case it’s a treadmill complete with a heart monitor and a calorie counter. I have a membership to the gym too, but recently I found something that’s proving to be a bigger motivator than both of those combined.
It’s fitness magazines. I know, I know, why would I want to subject myself to pictures of people in great shape when I look in the mirror and see a cross between a pear and a beach ball? For me it was about looking at the fitness magazines through different eyes; eyes that want to see a nice tight set of abs and thighs free of cellulite.
I started out by buying a copy of one of the popular fitness magazines from the newsstand. It didn’t take me long to realize how that was adding up. Magazine subscriptions were the way to go.
But that meant I had to choose one of the many fitness magazines out there. So I did what any health conscious person would do. I looked at what kind of bonus I’d get with the magazine subscriptions. If you’re going to be spending money buying the fitness magazines you might as well be getting something extra in return.
I also realized something else recently when I was thumbing through a current issue. Every January tons of my friends tell me that this is the year they are finally going to lose the extra pounds. I thought what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t try and help with that? So you can probably guess what everyone on my gift list is getting this holiday season – fitness magazine subscriptions. We may as well all suffer the fun of getting in shape together.

If you ask me, anyone traveling to a foreign country for work or pleasure should have international health insurance. Because so many people are living on a global level, international medical insurance is an important consideration. You may wonder why you need this type of insurance. After all, it’s likely that you already have health insurance — many people do. But have you thought of whether or not your insurance covers you when you’re overseas. More than likely, it does not.
If you’re spending more than a day out of the country, you need the benefit of expatriate medical insurance. Now, it’s unlikely that you will become ill or injured while on vacation. But it can and does happen. It’s better to be prepared with some form of international medical insurance. There are a variety of policies available from many different insurance carriers to meet every traveler’s need. There are plans for students, vacationers, and international workers.
Most of these international health insurance policies will cover you 24-hours a day at a variety of hospitals and facilities. You’ll be given a toll free international number to call for assistance if you need it, and a list of the medical facilities in the area where you’re traveling that accept your insurance plan.
International health insurance should be one of the first things you obtain before going to a foreign country. Everyone who can afford to travel to a foreign country can afford expatriate or international medical insurance. There are plans for every price range, from budget to premium. You’ll be able to enjoy your time overseas, because you’ll have the peace of mind that comes with insurance coverage. So before you pack your suitcase, get your policy!
